Growth Groups
Growth Groups are gospel greenhouses for Christians. Growth Groups meet together in order to
grow together as followers of Jesus Christ.
What is a Growth Group?
A Growth Group is a group of Christians who are sacrificially committed to a purposeful gathering for mutual discipleship through the Word of God, fellowship in the gospel, prayer and practical pastoral care.
Why go to a Growth Group on top of Sunday meetings?
Growth Groups are gospel greenhouses for Christians. Growth Groups meet together in order to grow together as followers of Jesus Christ. These groups are the primary vehicle for pastoral care and personal discipleship at North Coast Church. Growth Groups foster community on a deeper level than is possible at a Sunday gathering. Members of Growth Groups pray together, share life together, and allow the word of God to dwell richly amongst them. It may be a bit of an oversimplification, but on Sundays the gospel is proclaimed publicly through careful exposition of Scripture, while at Growth Groups that same gospel message is then applied specifically through prayerful study of Scripture.
Everyone is welcome to join a Growth Group. We urge all our members to be actively and committedly involved in a Growth Group for their own good and for the good of others. Growth Groups meet at various times during the week; many meet in people’s homes scattered across Perth’s northern suburbs. Groups usually meet weekly during school terms and have a break over the school holidays.
